The Jim Thompson House

Chiangkhan is a small and lovely town located in Loei Province where the Khong river is the border line. The town is quiet with simple life style of people. Phu Ruea

Phu Ruea, is a 1365 m high mountain in Loei Province, Thailand. It is located in Phu Ruea District, giving its name to the district. This mountain is part of the Phetchabun Mountains, a massif forming a natural boundary between North Thailand and Isaan. The peak rises 7 km north of Highway 203, between Loei town and Phetchabun and it is a good lookout to view the Mekong and the Hueang River valleys. The name of the mountain comes from the fact that it looks like a boat upside down from certain angles.

The Phu Ruea High Altitude Agricultural Research Station and the Phu Ruea National Park are located in the area around the mountain. The park borders Sainyabuli Province in Laos at its northern end. Most of the mountain is covered in mixed evergreen forest. The area around the mountain is part of the Luang Prabang montane rain forests ecoregion.

Doi Inthanon

Doi Inthanon is the highest mountain in Thailand. It is located in Mae Chaem District, Chiang Mai Province. This mountain is an ultra prominent peak and was also known in the past as Doi Luang (meaning big mountain) or Doi Ang Ka, meaning the crow's pond top. Near the mountain's base was a pond where many crows gathered. The name Doi Inthanon was given in honour of the king Inthawichayanon, one of the last kings of Chiang Mai, who was concerned about the forests in the north and tried to preserve them. He ordered that after his death his remains shall be placed at Doi Luang, which was then renamed.

Today, the summit of Doi Inthanon is a popular tourist destination for both foreign and Thai tourists, with a peak of 12,000+ visitors visiting the summit on New Year's Day. In addition to a range of tourist facilities on the summit, there is also a Royal Thai Air Force weather radar antenna on the summit.

Doi Mon jam located on Mong Nong Hoi village far away from Chiang-Mai around 40 minutes. In past People call this area ”Kiew Sear” a and later this area become a part of Royal Project and then become a tourist attraction. Mon Jam is cool all year,foggy in the morning. Hight season is October-February.You  can see many mountains  far far away.

The most stunning level is the fourth, called Chat Chat Kaco. To make the area safer for visitors, the park officials erected a path that goes all the way to the top.
